Simple and Effective

The tabbed Look Browser makes it easy
to access, compare, organize, copy, and re-use looks.
SpeedGrade OnSet 2007 works on still images which reduces hardware
performance requirements. It is designed to run on laptops with 256MB or
more of memory.

Image File Formats
SpeedGrade OnSet can open images in the following formats:
- Cineon, DPX, DPX 2.0, Floating Point TIFF, JPEG, Lightwave IFF, Maya IFF, OpenEXR
- RGB (SGI)Softimage PIC, Targa, TIFF, Wavefront RLA, Wavefront RPF
- YUV, BMP, GIF, PCX, PNG
- ARRI RAW (.ari), Phantom RAW (.cine), Silicon Imaging RAW (siv),
Weisscam RAW (.wcr),

Third-Party LUTs
SpeedGrade OnSet 2007 supports third party LUTs for display
calibration and film look emulation. LUTs placed into the LUTs folder
inside SpeedGrade OnSet will appear in the LUT dropdown menu for display
calibration or as part of a look.
In addition SpeedGrade OnSet .Looks can be exported to the following
formats:
1D LUT (Simple Mode)
S.Two LUT
Blackmagic Gamma Table, for HDLink SDI to DVI converter
3D LUT (Complex Mode)
FilmLight
LUTher binary format
Graded images can also be exported as DPX files.
Compatibility
IRIDAS .Look files can be loaded in any current version of FrameCycler
for graded playback of uncompressed footage. SpeedGrade OnSet .Look
files, with all settings, are interchangeable with SpeedGrade HD and
SpeedGrade DI.
Third-Party Hardware Support
SpeedGrade OnSet offers compatibility with a growing number of hardware
systems.
Gold Level certified devices support the SpeedGrade's native .Look file
format.
Silver Level certified systems support 3D LUT exported from SpeedGrade
OnSet, including all the creative functions of the .Look file format.
Unlike .Look files, an 3D LUT once exported can no longer be edited.
Bronze Level devices support 1D LUTs only and are compatible with the
Simple Mode in SpeedGrade OnSet.
CineTal Cinemage HD monitor
Grab frames with the Cinemage monitor use them to establish the look(s)
for a shot; load the .Look(s) back into the Cinemage monitor for graded
preview and review. |
Silicon Imaging HD and 2K camera
systems
With the Silicon Imaging cameras you can apply .Look files
directly in the viewfinder for accurate live monitoring during
acquisition. |

FilmLight Truelight HD/SD SDI
This device sits in a HD or SD SDI stream and applies a 3D LUT to
the image data. SpeedGrade OnSet supports the Truelight cube
format through its export dialog. |
Thomson LUTher Color Space Converter
This device applies a 3D LUT to an HD-SDI stream. SpeedGrade OnSet
supports the LUTher binary format through its export dialog |

S.Two Digital Field Recorder
SpeedGrade OnSet supports export to the S.Two DFR 1D LUT format,
giving you accurate monitoring directly on your field capture device. |
Black Magic Design HDLink
This HD-SDI to DVI converter allows you to monitor your HD-SDI
signal on a DVI monitor. SpeedGrade OnSet supports the export of 1D
gamma tables for the HDLink, which can be uploaded to the device via
USB. |
